A brave and well thought-out initiative
A dynamic and enthusiastic team
The idea is to share and harness as many skills, experiences and passions as possible on a global scale for the benefit of the unique environment that is the Red Sea.
2021, September:
The project is launched for the coming school year. Accompanied in our documentation efforts by Red Sea Project, we commit to:
Elaborating a board game
Building 3 web pages on the topic of turtles in the Red Sea
Compiling a portfolio of drawings on cetaceans
2022, February-May:
A complementary opportunity was offered to us: the "Ambassadeurs en herbe"competition proposed the theme “Seas and oceans, what is at stake for the planet?” We decided to take up the challenge and two 101 volunteers joined the adventure. Their performance was selected for the MOPI zone 🏆.
In partnership with Kendaka, we organized an awareness campaign around 3 major issues:
Turtles suffocated by plastic
Animals strangled in nets
Sharks that are massacred on a large scale
2022, June:
On-site Red Sea trip, 6 days of scientific exploration and observation, including a meeting with children from the local communities.
An unforgettable experience!
And it carries on in 2023 with a bolder, more comprehensive project
2022, September:
The new school year began with the launch of the revised project: we committed to
create a card game and a large maze.
make 2 web pages for children about dugongs and mangroves in the Red Sea in French, English, and Arabic.
create a book that educates young people on the conservation of the Red Sea.
provide an online version of the book that everyone can access and interact with.
training and guiding primary school students on their exploration trip to Marsa Alam and the nearby region.
2022 - 2023, October to March :
We arranged three meetings with primary school students from Lycée Français du Caire in Maadi. These included a performance about the environment, a discussion about the exceptional environment of the Red Sea, and a conversation about the hidden treasures of the desert environment.
2023, May :
A two-day expedition in the Red Sea was followed by four days spent with primary school students who accompanied us on site. The adventure concluded with a day of learning as we hosted young Bedouins from the Ababdas tribe, who were our guests of honour.
An extremely memorable experience!
